Do you have another computer to check the images on and or some other RAW converter software program?
You can probably download Capture One as a trial and load those images into it and see if the lines are still there. If they are then the File are corrupted OR you have a camera Sensor problem.

You DO NOT "Install LrC" on the External Drive.
LrC need to be installed on the main hard drive in each of the computrer you want to use it on.
You COPY the LrC CATALOG and ALL your images to the External drive.

You are using LIGHTROOM the Cloud based version, It Seems, but you have posted in the Lightroom CLASSIC forum.
2 Completely Different programs that Adobe has foolishly named the same.

I think this is something you need to take up with the Spyder Pro people.
Recalibrate?
Reset that screen to the Default calibration that it was Shipped with?

I personally have never seen a file with that extension except in the Windows folder or IIRC on the ROOT of my System drive and that was for the Windows Swap File that it use to use.
I think you can just Delete it as if it was created by LrC at some point when you Stopped whatever LrC was doing that file just got left over. If that process had completed LrC would of deleted that .swp file.

You need to place all your images and the catalog file on an External drive amd Move, Carry, that external driver from computer to computer.
All Edits are in the Catalog file and Not in the images.
Please Review some or all of these tutorials to see what LrC is, How it works and hwo to work with LrC.

Yes!!!!
When converting, Upgrading, any older Lr (Traditional Version) catalog to a Newer one all of your original work is retained. I have been using the SAME EXACT Catalog since Version 1 of Lr. It has just been Upgraded, converted, many times from older to newer to work with the newer versions of Lr over the years (14 year).
But as I stated in a previous reply the older version is COPIED, so the older version catalog remains In Tact, and that Copy is converted, Upgrade, to work with the newer version of Lr.
So If you want to Nit Pick I am not actually using the Same catalog file.

File menu item, Select New Catalog.
But IMHO that is a very bad idea.
It is not the way LrC was designed to be used.
You can separate Shoots with Keywords or use a Folder structure, Job Name + Date or whatever you like to name the folders that Shoots images are stored in and use ONE Catalog that contain ALL your images.

Don't know, Not sure.
Apple has had problems with GPUs in Macbook Pros since 2008.
But basically unless the GPU fails completely, no picture on the screen, AND you ARE within a Warranty period (Apple Care), Apple will not fix it.
So just use it with that option turned off in the LrC Preferences.

Was it Very Cold out (was the Camera cold) when you took the shots that have these lines?
If it was then it is a camera sensor problem. It doesn't like the Temp it was used in.

As stated below in my other reply it could be caused by any of those faults and or actual camera sensor problems or memory card failure, corruption, or faulty hardware, Card Reader or Cable.
I think the Files are Corrupted and that is caused by faulty hardware someplace in the chain from taking the pictures, storing them on the memory card or getting the imaged from the memory card to the computer hard drive.

But looking at the pictures you posted those lines could be either Faulty GPU, Faulty Monitor or corrupted image file data.
First thing to do is to go into the LrC Prefercnes, on the performance tab, and turn off the option to use the GPU and test.

Please Take Screen Shots with your computer. Both Mac OS and Windows has the option to actually take Screen shots. And then included those in a reply.
Pictures take with either a camera or your phone don't cut it.

In my opinion the Cloud based version is a Very Bad idea.
If you want to Edit, have Access, to All your images from 2 different computers then what you need to do is put all your images on an External drive and also place the catalog file on that same external drive.
You can then Open that catalog on either computer and have total access to all your images. This works best when you are using the same Kind of computer (Each computer is using the same operating system) and the external drive is getting the same exact Drive letter, or has the same Drive Name for Mac's, on each computer.
Sorry I did not read @Rob_Cullen reply but I, being a long time user of the Traditional version of Lr, would not even think about switching to the Cloud based version.
It is something completely new and does not retain certain options as far as editing that are included in the traditional version and I have no idea if it even uses a Catalog file and or if older versions of Lr (traditional versions) catalog can be imported, Used in any way, with the Cloud Based version.
I willl not throw away all the work I have done in the REAL Lr over the last 14 years.
I have the mobile version on my phone. I use it to Upload images I take with my phone to the Web system and then down to my computer and LrC. But those are few and infrequent (I use my Cell/Smart phone as a PHONE with some added features and options if I need them).
I also use it to show people some of my images that I have synced to the Web/Mobile system form LrC.
I do not sync all my images as I have no need to have all of them accessible on my phone.

As to your Title of your post. Start Over.
Alll you have to do is Start a New Catalog. Click on the File menu item and select New Catalog. you will be prompted for a catalog name and a folder to place this new catalog in. And or you can Select the folder, and or Create a folder, to place this new catalog in.
